Corona had the cultural industry firmly in its grip in recent months. But empty seats were no reason for Theater Dortmund to remain quiet: With a packed season programme for 2021/22, the institution is reporting back – lively, innovative and full of ideas.

For the third time in a row, we had the pleasure of creatively accompanying the most important publication of the Theater Dortmund. In the current season programme, all six of the theatre’s divisions once again find their place: from opera, ballet and the philharmonic orchestra to drama, KJT and the Academy for Theatre and Digitality. We have remained true to the basic idea of our design concept: A fixed layout grid runs through the entire season programme – but individual visual languages and different fonts give each section enough space for their own artistic development.

A strong motto that unites

For the first time, the season programme has a collective motto: “We have 1,000 ideas”. This is how Theater Dortmund confidently confronts the more difficult conditions of the cultural sector: with digital offers and innovative concepts music, dance and drama are ensured to once again be a shared experience during the 2021/22 season. A strong performance for the start of a new season!
