For the last two years, Corona had confronted the cultural sector with unexpected challenges that seemed almost impossible to overcome. With the new season booklet, Theater Dortmund celebrates the return to shared experience – as a high-quality print publication and as a digital format.

A concept that attracts people to the theatre

Under the motto “Come closer”, all six divisions invite you to fill the halls again – get up close to the stage and enjoy live instead of performances on screen. On a total of over 276 pages, there is a lot to discover in the elaborately produced 2022/23 season booklet. Among the striking stylistic elements are the chapter dividers with graphic clouds. The idea behind this: First the motif lies in the mist, inviting you to come closer, whereupon the veil lifts as you turn the page, revealing the motif. Opera, Ballet, Philharmonic, Drama, KJT and the Academy for Theatre and Digitality present themselves in a consistent layout grid, but through different typographies each division unfolds its individual character.
