In 2026, the German Design Council once again honoured outstanding design achievements. Among this year’s winners is our long-standing client Schneider, who impressed with its brand identity, which we helped to revamp.

Brand Relaunch wins gold

The German Design Award has been presented by the German Design Council since 2012 as an international award for outstanding design. It celebrates excellent design achievements in the fields of architecture, product design and communication design. In the latter discipline, Schneider and SCHMETER BRAND DESIGN impressed the expert jury across the board in the ‘Brand Identity’ subcategory with their comprehensive brand relaunch. This recognised around two years of work in which the brand was further developed at all levels: strategically, visually and linguistically.

Make it matter

For many years, the slogan ‘Write it down’ represented the Schneider brand. As part of the brand refinement process, a rethinking took place: away from product benefits and towards purpose. Why do people write things down in the first place? Because it matters. The new slogan ‘Make it matter’ sums up this change in perspective in just a few words. With its optimised brand image, Schneider is now repositioning itself: even more emotional, more concise and more digital.
